old antique D E McNichol East Liverpool Ohio china plate w/ grapes

Heavy antique semi-porcelain plate, 9 3/4" in diameter, marked D. E. McNichol - East Liverpool, O.. This is out of one of the earliest recorded potteies of of the Ohio River valley, which later went on to produce so much of American china during the early and mid 20th century.

McNicol pieces are somewhat difficult to find (not surprising, at over 100 years from manufacture) and we were pleased to find this good old plate in a traditional grapes pattern. It's showing it's age with discolored crazing and wear.
