Royal Crystal Rock lead glass bell, wedding bell or table service bell

RCR label lead crystal bell, made in Italy. This one measures about 7 3/4" tall overall, and is in very nice condition without chips or cracks.

We've always thought that these larger glass bells were for table use, but we've been told that they're often 'wedding bells' to drive away evil spirits, according to an old folk custom. Pretty and collectible in any case!
