The House Improved, 1930s vintage English remodeling design book from Country Life Homes & Gardens editor

Interesting take on the remodeling of old English architecture, 1930s 'modernization'. Some of this seems like improvements as they say, but some of it I feel is terrible destruction! Written by an editor of Homes and Gardens, Randal Phillips. Published by Country Life, London and dated 1931. Book is a little faded and worn, but clean and complete.
