Dated 1942 Bauch & Lomb Balscope Sr., a 60mm telescope made for an anti-aircraft director in World War II. This has the original instruction leaflet, too.
It's obviously been used, probably in actual military service I think. The glass looks good to me, though I don't know a lot about telescopes. The metal housing has a broken section at the mounting (see photos), which would not effect the use of the actual telescope.
