antique 1800s English brass tape measure, hand crank winder 3 Poles or 50 Feet tape

Very old brass tape measure with worn cloth tape marked in Feet and in Poles (3 Poles or 50 Feet, depending on which side of the tape is used). This winds smoothly and well even though the tape is worn and so old. I spooled it all out and wound it up again, just to check the tape and show you its condition.

I found no marks on the housing besides the 50 FT marked at the folding crank. I would expect that this is made in England? Painted finish is worn and flaking showing brass metal beneath. Brass is very dark from tarnishing.
