antique 1890s Meakin moss rose ironstone china - plates, cups & deep saucers

1890s vintage Alfred Meakin Royal Ironstone China with pink moss roses... this is a lovely old fashioned pattern on dishes with a simple old country style shape, so these look even older than they are.

The saucers are like shallow bowls, the bread and pie plates large, and the dinner plates small by comparison.


This is a set for two, two each of cups, saucers, plates 6 3/4", 7 3/4" and 8 3/4" in diameter. There's no chips or cracks to any of these pieces, though they are spotted with iron marks and foxing. There's some wear and scratching to the finish, and the trim is somewhat worn.
