antique Crane & Breed (Reed?) miniature cast metal dog figurine paperweight, shaggy puppy

Sweet little terrier puppy, cast metal with a brass colored or brass plated finish. The base metal is spelter, I think.

There's no marks on this piece that I could see. I think it's a Crane and Breed, or Crane and Reed? Google suggests first one, then the other, or a mix of the two - Breed or Reed.

It's probably early 1900s vintage, or maybe a little older? Condition is very good without damage. Doggie measures about 2" tall.
