antique Heisey Colonial panel pattern canister, two quart crushed fruit jar w/ lid
more photos of this product belowBig heavy crystal clear glass jar with lid, Colonial panel pattern Heisey glass marked with the H in a diamond on the bottom. This is early 1900s vintage, late EAPG really, NOT a colonial antique!
This is a nice large canister, two quart size. I think this is a 'crushed fruit' jar, though I'm not sure what crushed fruit is except jam or jelly, and this is much larger than I think you'd want for that.
It measures 5 1/2" deep with a jar opening 5 1/2" across, and stands about 9 1/2" tall with the lid in place. Maybe used for fruit in brandy, like tutti-frutti?
It's in excellent condition, clear and sparkly without damage or finish wear. It would make a great apothecary jar or store counter style container for storage or display, so pretty!
