antique Schafer & Vater jasperware china canister, biscuit jar or tobacco jar, Wedgwood blue & white

Turn of the century vintage bisque 'jasperware' china canister jar (a biscuit jar? a tobacco jar?), made in Germany by Schafer and Vater. Lovely deep Wedgwood blue color with classical cameo designs, measures about 6" tall to the top of the lid.

There's few little chips to the rim of the jar (shown in photos), also a larger chip to the inside rim of the lid. Displays very nicely yet, it's very clean inside and out. It's beautifully made, with great detail to the designs.
