antique Souvenir of France French lace hand embroidered cushion cover WWI vintage

Beautifully embroidered cotton sateen pillow cover edged in cotton lace, a souvenir of France, World War I vintage. The cotton organdy backing of this piece is so fine you can read through it!

It's been carefully kept for over 100 years now, never used, in very good condition without fading or wear. Measures about 28" x 28" overall, sized for a pillow (not included) about 18" square.
