antique Victorian cranberry opalescent glass hanging light, converted oil lamp
more photos of this product belowBeautiful 1890s vintage aesthetic period hanging light with original cranberry opalescent glass. Metal fittings and chain look largely original although this has been wired for electricity mid 20th century. The metal is tarnished and spotted, I've only dusted it but left it otherwise just as found
This holds a standard socket single bulb, and wiring extends up to the ceiling mount along the hanging chains. This measures about 23" or 24" long top to the very bottom as it's hanging, but could be shortened a bit without much difficulty. Light measures about 12" long top to bottom, and shade is about 7" across.
It's a nice smallish Victorian fixture, with the glass really the star here. You don't need a mansion to hold it, and it will be lovely in a smaller room or hall.
