antique aqua blue glass Mason jar 1858 patent, primitive old zinc lid

Mason's Patent November 30th 1858 quart jar, blue - green glass, with a very crusty zinc lid. (Lid probably not nearly as old as the jar, but it looks wonderfully primitive!)

No chips or cracks to the jar, but it's very roughly made, with bubbles and marks in the glass. A beautiful old piece.
