antique architectural ornament, cast iron flower rosette medallion w/ shabby vintage paint

We believe this might be a flue cover or ornament from a grating... it's a cast iron flower 7 1/2" in diameter slightly bowed outwards at the center, with tiny 'feet' to hold it position.

The feet are broken now, so it won't 'latch' into whatever it used to latch into, but it's a perfect piece for a wall plaque or fireplace ornament.

We love the intricate details of this mandala style pattern, and the worn and weathered old paint.
