antique art nouveau design cast metal candlestick, brass or spelter w/ old gold paint

Lovely old cast metal candle stick with a stylized floral art nouveau design. This isn't marked or signed that we could see. It measures about 6 3/4" tall.

The metal is non-magnetic, so brass or spelter rather than cast iron. We're guessing brass, as it's a gold tone even under the gilt colored painted finish. The metal has no damage, and paint is worn only as you'd expect for a piece of this age and type.

The finish is old, probably original to this piece. And the casting is amazingly detailed. We wish we knew a little more about this, but all we know for certain is that it was in the personal collection of an amateur antique dealer for many years, and was sold after she died.
