antique brass tripod camera stand, early 1900s vintage photography equipment

Antique brass tripod for a camera, no marks on this that I could find, possibly German? It's showing some finish wear from use, though it appears to be in good working order. It opens up to about 32 1/2" tall, and goes down to about 18".
