antique brass wire flower holder, frog for floral arrangements or vintage displays

Unusual old piece which I believe is a flower frog - this has a cast metal (zinc?) base, with brass wire loop branches which can be bent or adjusted as desired.

This has a lovely worn paint finish, and would be perfect for displaying flowers or other small objects! It measures about 3 3/4" in diameter across the base. It's heavy, so stands well (even when full) on its own.
