antique bronze door escutcheon plates, vintage door knob hardware for skeleton keys

Matching pair of antique 1800s bronze or brass door escutcheon plates with keyholes for a skeleton key lock. They don't seem to be marked except for the number 4870 cast into the back of each plate. They have a patina of age and old paint.

These measure about 5 1/4" x 1 5/8" overall and about 4 3/4" center to center on the mounting holes.
