antique brush w/ old green wood handle, small stiff bristle stencil paint brush

Early 1900s vintage wood handled brush for stencil painting or perhaps a shoe polish brush? This doesn't look as though it's ever been used at all, it's nice and clean without wear or any product on the bristles. Measures about 6 1/4" long end to end.
