antique carved wood clogs, 1800s vintage old world primitives w/ beautiful original paint

Beautiful old pair of painted wood clogs, 1800s. These might be Dutch shoes, but could be French, or German, or Danish, or ??? Might possibly be made here in Wisconsin by someone who made these in the old world tradition, I've never seen a pair of klompen painted up like this before.

They're sized for an adult with small feet - these measure about 10" long down the outside of the shoe. Clean overall with original paint pleasingly worn, they'll make a nice old primitive antique for display.
