Sweet old cookbook of recipes and kitchen instruction for children - When Mother Lets Us Cook, dated 1917. This is about 8" x 5 1/2", 95 pages.

It was a school copy, and is frankly in terrible condition. A few pages are loose (but tucked inside), cover is worn and cracked, everything is spotted with browning and mildew.

It's a great read, even so, with rhymes and cute illustrations. The recipes sound surprisingly good, and the cooking advice is generally as practical as ever.
