antique enamel metal mesh purse ornate pierced frame, Mandalian or Whiting & Davis?

This is one of the oldest, fanciest mesh bags I've ever seen, with sawtooth point border, and large pierced metal frame. I can't find any markings on this one, though it looks like a Mandalian piece to me.

Enamel looks good, color nice and even. I didn't find any damage to the mesh. Chain handle is original and intact. It's a little dark with tarnish and / or soil, we've left it just as we found it.

I know very little about the history of this piece. It came out of the estate of a couple who ran a jewelry store / art gallery during most of the 20th century. Their collection was amazing, as they bought many pieces from individuals and generally kept the cream of the collection for themselves!
