antique glass whimsies mini barrel match or toothpick holders, brown painted milk glass beer barrels

Set of four old milk glass mini barrels, probably toothpick or match holders, I think. Not the usual barrels with handles, these have no handles, though aside from that they're pretty close to the old oaken bucket pattern.

They're about 2" tall, sized about like shot glasses, but the rims are large and rough. More like fair or souvenir pieces than a set of shots, I think.

These are marked on the bottom with what looks like a D, not a mark I'm familiar with. The brown painted finish looks to be all original, though the gold details are a little worn. There's some small chips and fleabites to the glass.
