antique hand carved wood swag black forest molding leaves & flowers, vintage wall plaque ornament

Handmade carved wood swag (a wall plaque? a door decoration? an architectural molding?) about 8" long. This is a lightweight wood with an early 1900s vintage golden shellac finish.

It's not marked or signed, though it looks German or Swiss to me. It's from an old Wisconsin farm estate, so one of the two is very likely. It has a wonderfully Black Forest look!

There's some breakage to the back of the carving, no damage visible from the front. It seems to me like it's upside down when hanging from that mounting hole, but really, it looks pretty good either way.
