antique handmade tied quilt, plain unbleached cotton comforter or thin mattress, rustic primitive vintage

Very early 1900s vintage tied quilt, natural colored unbleached cotton with unbleached cotton fill. (You can see the filling though a tear in the cover fabric on the back, see photos.)

This is spotted and browned, very primitive. The fabric is a flour sack weight, possibly old sacks though I didn't see any printing here.

It's very heavy, measuring about 50" wide x 80" long overall. The fabric is sturdy (just the one tear, no holes) and the batting very thick - this might have been made more as a mattress or bed roll of sorts than a quilt.
