Antique ironstone plate with Denise Patchell Olson art design, and hand painted sponged border. I've been told that the center - landscape scene - is applied like a print, and the plate I know pre-dates the original artwork. Sort of an interesting piece, especially since the plate shows genuine age and wear.

This seascape is Massachusetts, though it honestly doesn't look terribly much like the famous Cape Ann fishing shack to me. It could be anywhere, what you see here is the water, and the gulls. Vintage coastal decor at it's best, this has that old money feel.

Design has the signature, as shown. Plate itself is marked Greenwood China, Trenton New Jersey (early 1900s vintage). Measures 7 1/2" in diameter.
