antique master mason's fez, Amrita Grotto Freemasons/Shriners

Antique early 1900s master mason's fez for Amrita Grotto. This fez is wool with a rayon tassel and bullion lettering. The label inside is from the Lou Walt Co at 821 - 823 Broadway, New York 3.

This is in nice condition with the original storage bag. It has a few broken stitches, a few broken strands in the tassel and some wear and tarnish to the lettering, but no moth holes.

The Amrita Grotto, was founded as a group of master masons in New York in 1889 and is formally know as the Mystic Order of Veiled Prophets of the Enchanted Realm. They adopted the wearing of this fez in 1903.
