antique parlor table cover, lamp mat w/ handmade gimp braid lace trim edging

Beautiful old round lace edged table cover or lamp mat, with a unusual border made from rayon gimp sewing trim. The center is fabric, hand-stitched in place.

This measures about 25" in overall diameter. It's slightly yellowed from age (we haven't washed or soaked it) and has a few small loose threads and holes to the edging.
