antique salt glaze stoneware pottery crock jar, salt pig wall mount box w/ wood lid

Old salt glazed stoneware crock to hold salt, unmarked, roughly turn of the century vintage. It's been much used over the years, with chips and glaze chips. Measures about 5 3/4" across x 5 3/4" tall at the center back.

This has a handmade wooden lid which we feel is probably not original to the crock, although it's a vintage piece in its own right.
