antique tiger birdseye maple wood picture frame, vintage crewel embroidery jacobean floral

Beautiful early 1900s vintage picture frame, figured maple burl wood - tiger or birdseye maple. This one holds a lovely large crewel embroidered floral, wool on linen. It measures 17 1/2" x- 1/2" over the exterior of the frame. I would expect that this has a plank back under that old brown paper.

It would be simple to remove the needlework if that's not really your thing, and replace with a photo, or antique print or whatever you'd like. This has the glass, and the frame is in very good solid condition, ready to hang.
