antique vintage custard glass flower bowls Vermont pattern forget me not hand painted roses
more photos of this product belowSet of three (one large, two small) footed bowls, Vermont / forget me not pattern pressed glass, custard glass.
These I believe are the old EAPG pieces made be US Glass, not the mid-century reproductions made by Degenhart or Boyd. The hand painted design is very much in the Victorian style.
These bowls have rims where a lid could have fit, though I'm not positive that they ever had covers. I haven't been able to find many examples or catalog pages for this pattern!
Many times the old glass molds were designed to be multi-purpose, so they could produce a bowl or dish with or without a lid. It's possible that these might have had flower frogs or something else that fit on top.
All three bowls look good, no chips, or noticeable wear to the paint. They've been well cared for over the years.
The larger bowl measures 3 3/4" tall, 5 1/4" across the rim, 4" across the opening. The two small bowls measure 2 1/2" tall, 4 1/4" across the rim, 3 1/2" across the opening.
