antique vintage hewing hatchet rustic broad ax primitive farm tool

old primitive hewing hatchet with a broad axe chisel edge head. It measures about 17 " long over the handle, 5 1/2" across the head and 4 1/2" across the cutting edge. There's a mark on the flat side of the blade, but we just can't make it out. It has a patina of age and weathering to the handle.
