art deco french ivory celluloid salt and pepper shakers for individual place settings

1930s vintage french ivory celluloid salt and pepper shakers, beautifully clean - never used - though the original box is worn and water spotted.

These stand about 1 3/8" tall, and are 7/8" in diameter, sized for individual place settings.

We can't get the lids to fit tightly on these, though they aren't noticeably out of round. Their shaping is apparently not what it once was, hardly suprising since they're 80+ years old!

We think they'd make lovely flower holders, like tiny vases. So pretty.
