art deco vintage glass tray or tea kettle trivet w/ nickel silver round frame

Early 1900s vintage Sternauware - New York trivet or tray, with nickle silver plated brass rail and crystal glass bottom.

There's an eight pointed star at the center of the glass. This measures about 9" in diameter, possibly made as a tea pot trivet?

There's wear and scratching to the glass, and rubbing and wear to the metal gallery rail. It's a nice small tray to collect small displays, or to protect your table linens from your condiment set!
