antique vintage barber shop shaving towels, redwork cotton embroidery

Lot of three never used red woven checked cotton towels, hand-embroidered, made for a circa 1920s barbershop near Platteville, Wisconsin.

Each of the three has a different design, but all three measure 36" x 17", and all three are very foxed and browned from years of storage. They've never been laundered, and we haven't touched them.
