1950's vintage Japan china bookends, belles and beaus in pink and yellow

Pair of vintage china book ends, 5 1/2" tall, marked Made in Japan. The little figures look nice without damage, but the inside of one bookend (the beaus) has a web of hairlines and repaired cracks. It doesn't show when these are in place, with books at the center.
