big antique glass jars full of old silk, cotton thread, vintage wood spools

Three big (the tall two quart size, two clear glass, one aqua blue) old mason jars, filled with a collection of old wood spools. Some of the spools are empty, most hold sewing thread - silky smooth fine cotton, and a few with silk thread or silk twist. A couple spools hold heavy weight carpet thread.

The thread looks to be in very nice condition overall, the old zinc lids kept the thread dust free and nice for many years. A few of the spools do have soil or spots to the outside wraps, or hold wraps of 'saved' thread. This is a wonderful lot to display as well as use, useful art, vintage country primitive style.
