big heavy ornate vintage silver tray, antique salver silverplate on coppe

Beautiful very heavy but very shabby antique silver plated waiters or butlers tray, a footed salver 24 3/4" long over the handles. Finish is worn, very tarnished and spotted. We haven't even attempted to clean or polish this.

We've looked everywhere, but just can't see any markings on this piece. There's quite a bit of verdigris on the surface, and it seems likely this is silver over copper. The chased pattern shows front and back, where you can find it below the tarnish and soil.
