old chambray blue cotton windmill star patchwork quilt top, 40s vintage

1940s vintage star or windmill pattern quilt top, all cotton patchwork in blue, chambray work shirting and unbleached muslin.

It's machine stitched, and not backed or quilted, edges are raw and unfinished too. It measures about 50" x 50", nicely sized for a wall hanging or large scale frameable needlework art.

This has a lot of spots and water marks - some from storage, and some from stains on the re-used fabric used to piece the quilt top. It would probably improve with washing / soaking, but we love it just as it is, and haven't touched it.
