old solid brass Dawn Treader vintage, dragon ship wall medallions - England

Pair of 1940s or 1950s vintage solid brass embossed wall chargers with a fantasy dragon ship. The ships remind us of Prince Caspian's ship The Dawn Treader from CS Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia series The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. The ships have the dragon figurehead prow and oars of the viking longships, but also have the three masts, sails and riggings of the Spanish galleons.

These brass plaques have rope edges and are marked Peerage - Made In England. One charger still has the original paper label, both are stamped.
