bucket of old string - antique cotton cord, heavy flax linen thread

Wooden peck basket full of old string, heavy cord, strong sewing thread, some lightweight rope, raffia like material on spools from Switzerland, etc..

There seems to be a string for almost every sort of purpose here, all of it old, and some of it used and saved (the two ply cotton twine has spots and discoloration).

This is all out of the estate of a thrifty Wisconsin farmer, lots of old-fashioned string to use for primitive style crafts, or for day to day use!
