Burple pattern vintage Anchor Hocking glass, large cake plate

Large cake plate (this shape was also used for a bowl underplate), in Anchor Hocking's Burple pattern. This is 14 1/4" in diameter, in very nice condition.

Such a pretty pattern, with such a peculiar name. Hocking glass of the 30's and 40's takes the cake for strange pattern names, and I think Burple is even odder than Boopie... it does seem like they would could have made this pattern in amethyst, then there'd be 'purple burple' to collect!
