old antique cast iron witches cauldron, fireplace/campfire kettle pot

We've been calling this old campfire kettle 'the black cauldron' (we have a couple of other old cauldron pots, but none of the others is this good black color). It's 10 3/4" in diameter across the rim of the pot, and 8 1/4" deep.

The original enameled interior is very chipped and worn from use, though the ironwork is crack and chip free. We wouldn't suggest this kettle to use for cooking, but it's a wonderful display piece, or would work well if you wanted to clean it up and use it with a lining to hold your stash of Halloween candy!
