quail birds on blue & gold, vintage chinoiserie print, carved wood bamboo frame

We were told this was a 'silk picture' and we just can't tell for certain under the glass, but we think it really looks more like a print or original artwork on textured paper? We know very little about asian art, but we loved the colors and pair of birds on this piece, as well as the carved faux bamboo frame. We don't know anything about it's exact origins or vintage, sorry.

The picture is matted with a blue and gold patterned material, silk or paper? The paper backing behind the picture we'd guess to be any age from the 60s to the early 90s... it has was water spotting, though there's no sign of damage to the picture or the frame. The frame measures 17" x 17" square.
