early 1900s vintage treen candlesticks, french polish smooth turned wood candle holders

Lovely pair of early 20th century vintage wood candle sticks with french polish finish, so smooth and nice. These have a beautiful graceful shaping, and measure about 9" tall, 5 3/4" across the bases. They're light in weight, we're unsure of the type of wood used here.
