old early century Samson suitcase luggage w/chrome corner hardware
more photos of this product belowOld early 1900s to about 1920 fiberboard suitcase with chrome plated corner hardware and fittings. The chrome latches are marked Samson. The hasp is marked Bassett.
We've been told that this might be an early Shwayder travel case (the founder of Samsonite luggage) and that the name Samson was used between about 1916 and 1920.
This case measures 23" x 11 1/2" x 6 1/2". This has some wear to the surface and there is no key.
