Old early industrial bench tool from an old farm shop. It is a belt driven reciprocating tool with an adjustable table. This tool is designed to hold the tool and move up and down through a hole in the work piece. It was probably a filer originally, but could also be setup as a saw, sander, buffer, burnisher etc. It would mostly be a case of the tool that you fit in it. The table can be adjusted for angle relative to the movement of the tool.

The base and adjustable work table are cast iron and brass. This measures about 10" high, and about 8 1/4" across the table. The drive pulley is about 6" across. There is no motor included. There is an old name tag, but it has been painted over. This has light rust and old paint.
