old antique early Edison socket fuse holder w/mica window fuse & 1901 patent date
more photos of this product belowAntique 1920s, architectural or industrial ceramic fuse block with an old, mica faced fuse. This porcelain holder has two standard Edison sockets for to hold fuses (or you could wire it to display antique light bulbs), one fuse for each electrical wire. The holder is made by General Electric and has several patent dates on the back. The latest patent date is "Jan 8, 1901". It measures about 3 1/2 inches square.
The fuse in made by G. E. Co and has a brass top with a mica window. It is marked with several patent dates, the latest is "Aug 19, 1919".
This is in excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks to the porcelain.
