Antique 1870s woodcut engraving of a political cartoon titled "International Law - A Better Way" promoting the first Geneva Convention. This a centerfold from Harper's Weekly magazine and depicts President U. S. Grant, Uncle Sam, John Bull (the Uncle Sam of the British Empire), German statesman Otto von Bismarck and others under a pavilion reading "Welcome Peace Through Arbitration", ferried there by Swiss boatman.

This is the original page, not a new reproduction and was probably originally published in 1869 or perhaps the 1870s (although it isn't dated). It measures about 22.5" x 16" and has yellowing from age and is separated on an old fold line.
