primitive hand-spun wool yarn lot, rustic primitive colors and undyed
more photos of this product belowLarge lot of old homespun wool yarn, wound into balls. (These are all yarn, not wound around cores.) This is really rough yarn, thick and thin, with some shorter lengths where the spinning stopped short all of a sudden. Most looks clean overall, some of it feels a little like grease wool to us.
Some of these yarns are undyed, or dark natural 'black sheep' brown colors... some are dyed with natural plant dyes, we think. And some are dyed with 'real' dyes, in assorted primitive colors.
The entire lot shows in the first photo, and measures 6 lbs. altogether. The largest ball is about 5" in diameter.
