50s vintage handmade cotton sock doll, baby clown w/ embroidered face

Handmade cotton sock doll clown with red dotted cotton suit and hat, yarn hair, hand-stitched face. He's about 15" tall and filled with chopped foam or something similar, we think.

Both the doll and the clothes are in very good clean condition, and nicely made. The face in winsome, very lovable, not at all scary.
